1929Professor Moldenhauer becomes economics minister.
1930PD Dr. Franz Helpenstein becomes the head of the department.
1939Replacement of the head with Professor Dr. Walter Rohrbeck
1940Establishment of the Insurance Institute
1945Interruption of teaching
1946Karl Hax cares of the Department of Insurance, and teaching.
1949Professor Walter Rohrbeck becomes again the director of the Department of Insurance.
1957Professor Paul Braeß takes the Institute of Insurance
1972Professor Dieter Farny took the Institute of Insurance.

The insurance business management is approved as a special teaching are.
1999Professor Heinrich R. Schradin becomes the head of the Insurance Department.
2002The Department is renamed the Department of Risk Management and Insurance.
